The DataAssist Business Intelligence Module is an information management system which provides business with all its information management and reporting requirements in a single environment. The DataAssist Business Intelligence Module was designed to operate seamlessly across all business functions and is able to extract data from almost any source or even from multiple sources simultaneously.

ODBC Connectivity

The product offers companies the capability to draw reports from any ODBC database, using a comprehensive dialect manager. Companies can use the DataAssist Business Intelligence Module, irrespective of their database of choice, with the assurance that their current reports can easily migrate to new systems with little or no impact on users.

Standard or Ad Hoc Queries

To enable corporations to deliver appropriate data timeously the DataAssist Business Intelligence Module provides users with the ability to run ad hoc queries. Users are, therefore, able to obtain the information they need, without waiting for technical or IT support. This user-friendly feature enhances productivity, while freeing up IT resources for more critical work.

Apart from normal reporting functions such as WYSIWYG report layouts, totals, subtotals and output formatting, the DataAssist Business Intelligence Module supports sub-reporting and embedded objects, as well as a powerful scripting language which provides precise control over report output. The reporting object can be exported to multiple formats, including HTML, PDF and Microsoft Excel.

Web-enabled

To meet the needs of modern, dispersed organisations, the DataAssist Business Intelligence Module is totally web-enabled. It can be run from a web browser, without any loss of functionality, or set to execute remotely and publish the results on the web.

Charting

The DataAssist Business Intelligence Module not only offers users the capacity to print text reports, but also provides leading-edge charting capabilities that allow the user to create interactive graphs, ready for presentation. The system produces standard pie, bar or line graphs, and even more sophisticated GIS maps and contour graphs.

Automatic Cubes

This well-rounded data management system automatically generates cubes and pivot views of data for rich and detailed analysis, using a multitude of built-in functions. It also includes a comprehensive formula language to enable the development of custom-made functions. Dashboard

The application’s dashboard provides the end-user with a comprehensive over view of the business’s key indicators in a rich content format, on a single screen. Dashboards allow managers to keep a close eye on key information and specific areas of interest in their companies at a single glance.

The DataAssist Business Intelligence Module has the capability to access and report on any information needed by managers, and can also highlight any problem areas as they occur – depending on the report settings of the individual’s dashboard . A warning light alerts one or more persons as soon as a problem occurs, to ensure immediate action for example the dashboard can be set to warn managers if stock levels fall below a certain threshold.

Workflow-empowered

To enhance productivity among users, the DataAssist Business Intelligence Module provides a workflow-based scheduling engine that can automate reporting tasks. Instead of having to run a report manually at regular intervals, the system will do it automatically, at scheduled times, and provide feedback via e-mail.
